Shop at the Shiny New Oiselle.com!

Hey, friends! We hope that you are well and staying finding some simple pleasures in this very strange time. Maybe you’re doing a little more online shopping than normal; maybe you’ve got time and motivation to get out of the house to run or walk more. To these ends, we wanted to tell you about our recent project:

One very long month ago, we at Revolution helped launch the new web store at Oiselle.com. Okay, that’s grossly overstating it — we had nothing to do with what you see when you go to the beautiful site. But behind the scenes, this all-new Shopify web store is connected to Sage Intacct for financial management, Deposco Bright Basics for warehouse management, and 2CP for payment processing. All four cloud business systems are tightly integrated and therefore needed to launch at the same time, which is no small feat under the best of circumstances. But because of the rapidly unfolding coronavirus crisis in the Seattle area, Revolution and all the other consultants canceled travel to the region in the days before go-live, and most of the Oiselle team were working remotely. So at the last minute, we found ourselves collaborating on what may be the longest single Zoom meeting of our lives, spanning locations from Alpharetta, Georgia, to Las Vegas, Portland, Tacoma, and Seattle, and lasting most of the weekend.

After months of preparation and testing, the site launched quietly on a Sunday morning, and we on the team put in the first orders. It was gratifying to watch in real time as the Shopify orders were processed through Deposco’s warehouse system, recorded in Intacct’s ledgers, and paid via 2CP. 

Then, on Monday, the warehouse team picked, packed, and shipped the orders using Deposco’s scanners and cloud software, and — wow! My Oiselle order was on my front porch in Portland on Tuesday. Impressive!

Also on Monday, the decision was reluctantly made to close Oiselle’s only brick-and-mortar store, in Seattle’s University Village, for the safety of the staff and customers. So, for now, the only direct sales of Oiselle’s acclaimed women’s running wear is through the new web store at Oiselle.com. Fortunately, Oiselle’s fulfillment warehouse is able to safely continue operations and keep shipping those tanks and tights!
